How to Become a Vincentian

Vincentians are active or associate members of the Society who God calls to grow spiritually through friendships and service in the Galveston-Houston communities.

Step 1: Submit a Vincentian Application.

Step 2: Complete the virtual Safe Haven training, also known as Safe Environment training, through Catholic Mutual Group (CMG). Your digital certificate will be available, and the progress bar will display 100% once your background check is completed.

Step 3: Connect with your Conference to begin serving. Your Conference leaders will call, text, or email you.

An Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston requirement is that everyone complete the virtual Safe Haven training, also known as Safe Environment training, through Catholic Mutual Group (CMG), and authorize a background check before performing service on parish property.

This certification must be renewed every 5 years to ensure the safety and protection of our vulnerable populations.

We are committed to growing spiritually as friends to better serve our communities

Each Conference has a leadership team:

President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Spiritual Advisor.

More than 1.7k Vincentians are growing spiritually as friends to serve those in need.

Vincentians

A Vincentian is the name given to a commissioned member of the Society.

Vincentians put their faith into action by responding to the needs of people regardless of race, creed, age, gender, or legal status.

The vocation of a Vincentian is to follow Christ through service to those in need and bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love.

Members show their commitment by visiting people in their homes and performing special works to alleviate the suffering of those in crisis.
