A Conference is a parish-based chapter of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. Currently, there are 58 Conferences operating throughout the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston linked by the common mission of providing person-to-person service.

Each Conference is made up of 5 to 100+ volunteers. Each Conference has a leadership team made up of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Spiritual Advisor.

The three goals of a Conference is to grow spiritually, develop a friendship among members and with those in need, and serve people with compassion, generosity, and respect.

A Vincentian is the name given to the members of the Society.

Vincentians put their faith into action by responding to the needs of people regardless of race, creed, age, gender, or legal status.

The vocation of a Vincentian is to follow Christ through service to those in need and bear witness to His compassionate and liberating love.

Members show their commitment by visiting people in their homes, working in our resale shops, and maintaining parish-based food pantries.

Our local parish-based chapters are always in need of new volunteers. We have 58 chapters throughout the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. You do not have to be Catholic to be a Vincentian. Email our Vincentian Services Specialist for more details.
