On 1883, Frederic Ozanam, 20 years of age and a student of Law at the
Sorbonne University in France was challenged by an Agnostic student who said to Frederic:

“You people put all the burden for the poor upon your religious orders- then wash your hands of the job! Don’t try to impress us with what the priests and nuns are doing for the poor. Tell us Frederic Ozanam, what are you doing for them-
you and your fellow Catholics in this room.
"

Welcome to the YaYa Ministries! page. Our founder, Frederic Ozanam, was challenged to live out his faith, to put it into action. Today, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul challenges all youth and young adults to do the same, to put their faith into action, to live our the Gospel message, to serve those
in need, to love and praise God in all they do.

Explore! We have several service programs to meet the needs of youth and young adults who are called to serve while meeting the needs of those the Society helps.

Pray! God is calling you to love and serve Him. How will you respond?

Act! Call the Volunteer Coordinator for more information and to sign up.

We look forward to serving with you!

"Those who practice charity in the Church's name will never seek to impose the Church's faith upon others. They realize that a pure and generous love is the best witness to the God in whom we believe and by whom we are driven to love.”
Pope Benedict XVI, Deus Caritas Est

“Love cannot remain by itself -- it has no meaning. Love has to be put into action, and that action is service.”
- Mother Teresa

Decade a Day for Vocations- pray this prayer daily with a Decade of the Rosary for an increase in Vocations to the Priesthood and Religious Life.

O Holy Spirit, Spirit of wisdom and divine love, impart Your knowledge, understanding, and counsel to youth that they may know the vocation wherein they can best serve God. Give them courage and strength to follow God's holy will. Guide their uncertain steps, strengthen their resolutions, shield their chastity, fashion their minds, conquer their hearts, and lead them to the vineyards where they will labor in God's holy service.
Amen.
