Food, Clothing, Furniture & Emergency Financial Assistance
The Society of St. Vincent de Paul has been serving the poor in Galveston-Houston since 1871 regardless of race, creed, age or family status.
The members of the Society, who are called Vincentians, work out of 60 parish –based St. Vincent de Paul Conferences and 43 food pantries to offer assistance and support to those in need on a person-to-person basis. Through Home Visit Ministry, Vincentians visit the needy in their homes and listen to the needs.
Services provided include food, clothing, furniture, rent, utility, transportation, medical, funeral and other financial assistance. For assistance or for more information, call 713.741.8234 x 101. Our Assistance line is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
